Former NFL player Matt Kalil is reportedly taking legal action against his ex-wife, model Haley Kalil, due to her comments regarding the size of his genitals, which he claims contributed to their marriage’s downfall.
The 36-year-old, who played for teams like the Panthers and Vikings, argues that Haley’s remarks during a November livestream were “invasive” and disrupted his attempts to maintain a low profile since retiring from the NFL. The lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday, has been reviewed by several sources.
Haley made her statements while appearing on Marlon Garcia’s Mar-A-Thon livestream, mentioning that Matt’s penis was comparable to “the size of two Coke cans, maybe a third,” and suggested that these comments had a significant impact on their marriage, which ended in 2022.
According to Matt, Haley’s comments have led to “unwanted public attention and intrusive commentary,” further stating that his family has “had to endure the ongoing public circulation of these degrading and deeply personal remarks.”
After marrying Haley in 2015, Matt divorced her seven years later, and went on to marry his current wife, Keilani Asmus, in 2024. They share a one-year-old son.
The lawsuit accuses Haley of causing Asmus to receive increasingly disturbing messages over time. Matt is pursuing a jury trial and is seeking over $75,000 in damages, claiming that his ex-wife disclosed “very intimate and private facts” about him.
Additionally, Matt’s lawsuit asserts that Haley gained significant financial advantages, such as increased viewer engagement and monetization through various platforms, as a result of her comments.
Haley suggested that Matt’s size was a key issue in their relationship, even imitating it during the livestream. “It sucks… it sucks our entire marriage,” she remarked, adding that they tried multiple solutions, including therapy. She described her life as a “comedy and a kind of self-expression.”
After her comments gained attention, Haley expressed that she still cares “deeply” for Matt and commented on his privacy. “I care very much about respecting his privacy and the integrity of what we shared,” she stated in November.
She also highlighted that the livestream featured discussions beyond just sensational topics, emphasizing the love and growth in their marriage.
