Following his arrest on multiple charges, including possession of child pornography, Matt Prokop seems to have been recorded struggling with his ex-girlfriend, according to recent reports.
The 2024 Ring footage, which was acquired by Daily Mail, shows Prokop, 35, apparently forcing his ex-girlfriend Lucy through the front door of a residence in Texas.
You can hear Lucy exclaiming, “Oh no,” accompanied by the sound of a small dog barking in the background.
Prokop has yet to respond to requests for comment.
The star of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” was taken into custody in Victoria County, Texas, on December 24, 2025, and is currently being held without bail, as reported by TMZ. It’s important to note that the footage from Daily Mail is not related to his current legal issues.
Earlier this month, Prokop claimed to Page Six that he had endured “years of abuse” from his former partner.
According to a police report referenced by Daily Mail, Lucy alleged that Prokop threatened her with a hammer during an incident.
Lucy, who asserts she is the victim amidst the accusations, stated to Page Six, “After years of abuse, the effects are still very real and continue to impact my life.” She emphasized her need for private healing, supported by close friends and family, while insisting, “Taking this time does not make his actions any less serious or harmful.”
“I was young and didn’t really grasp the severity of what was happening. No amount of time will diminish the seriousness of his actions,” she added.
In addition to his current allegations, Prokop also faces claims of abuse from his former girlfriend, “Modern Family” actress Sarah Hyland, who accused him of both verbal and physical abuse during their relationship.
Hyland recounted an incident in May 2014, where she stated that Prokop physically assaulted her during an argument, as detailed in court documents. Following their breakup, she claimed he threatened her pet and attempted to set her home on fire, leading her to secure a restraining order that required him to stay away for three years.
Aside from his role in “High School Musical 3,” Prokop has appeared in other productions, including 2010’s “Furry Vengeance,” 2011’s “Cougar Hunting,” and 2012’s “Struck by Lightning.”
