Polestar Matt Towery Discusses GOP Challenges Ahead of 2026 Elections
On Friday, Matt Towery shared his insights on Fox News about the significant challenges Republicans might face as they approach the 2026 election.
He highlighted how former President Donald Trump continues to gain momentum, marking a resurgence in his political journey. During his appearance on “Ingraham’s Angle,” Towery pointed out that the GOP’s main threat could stem from internal conflicts if they lose sight of their goals.
“I don’t have many big concerns. Of course, the economy’s future is uncertain, and one can never predict it accurately. My primary worry is that Republicans might become complacent and turn against each other during the upcoming primary next year,” Towery explained.
He indicated that Trump’s support might be more robust than what individual negative reports suggest, asserting that his overall voting strength is intact. Towery encouraged Republicans to unite behind Trump rather than become embroiled in a contentious primary fight, which could distract from the economic and political strategies that have recently yielded success.
“Let’s be clear—Donald Trump’s numbers are holding steady. That’s why he continues to be a strong contender. I hope the Republicans will keep following his lead instead of straying,” Towery added.
In July, Towery claimed that Trump’s actual approval ratings were significantly better than the figures portrayed by mainstream media, suggesting that while some polls suggest around 30% support for Trump, the reality is much stronger.
“There are various polls out there. Gallup used to be a reliable source for presidential approval ratings, but their depiction of Trump is off. There’s no way he only has 38% approval—that’s absurd. Trust me, if you compare the polling from legacy media with conservative sources, they represent entirely different realities. I can confidently assert that Trump enjoys over 50% approval in this country,” Towery stated.
