Tensions continue ahead of the Canada vs. USA 4 Nations face-off final on Thursday night, with two teams filming personal jabs on the ice with each other.
Last Saturday, America's 3-1 victory caught the eye of millions who saw three fights in the first nine seconds of the game. The two battles featured American stars and brothers Matthew and Brady Tokachuk. Brady revealed that the Americans texted each other about plans to engage in multiple fights before the game.
On the Canadian side, fighter Brandon Hagel said he dug Americans after fighting Matthew Tokachuk against national pride.
“I heard, I did it for the flag, not for the camera,” Hagel said, “What happened the other day?” I said. “We don't have group chats,” he added. Out kick.
“Maybe their team doesn't like each other.”
On Wednesday, Matthew Tokachuk was asked to respond to Hagel's comments, suggesting that Team Canada might not get along well if he wasn't chatting.
“Well, I mean, if their teams aren't in group chat, their teams might not like each other,” Tkachuk said. He told reporters. “I think it's just a player and I think they enjoy the opportunity, so I don't think our team cares anything they say.
The 27-year-old went on to say that Team USA has only one concern. Millions of fans are watching and supporting the country. He adds that the team is “very proud,” and feels that his team has a “once in a lifetime opportunity.”
There was a lot of speculation about whether President Trump would attend the finals on Thursday night at Boston's TD Garden. However, in a post to True Social Society, the president revealed that he was watching without attending.
“I'll talk to the governor tonight in DC and, sadly, therefore, I won't be able to attend,” Trump said. I explained it.
