Ghislaine Maxwell’s Meeting with Deputy Attorney General
Ghislaine Maxwell, known for her connections to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, recently met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to discuss around “100 different individuals” associated with Epstein. During this interrogation by the Department of Justice, she received a type of limited immunity.
Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, shared with reporters that she was questioned extensively during her day-and-a-half interview, providing answers to all inquiries posed.
“She answered those questions honestly, truthfully, to the best of her ability,” Markus commented. “She was asked about maybe about 100 different people. She answered questions about everybody and she didn’t hold anything back.”
“She never invoked a privilege. She never refused to answer a question. So, we’re very proud of her.”
This limited immunity allows Maxwell’s statements to remain protected from being used against her in any future legal proceedings. This kind of immunity is typically offered to encourage cooperation from individuals in such investigations.
Currently, the 63-year-old Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence in a federal prison located in Tallahassee, Florida. She was convicted in 2021 on multiple counts including conspiracy to entice minors into engaging in illegal sexual activities and sex trafficking of minors.
In related news, after receiving her limited immunity, Maxwell spent nine hours discussing various individuals allegedly linked to Jeffrey Epstein with Deputy AG Todd Blanche. It raises questions about what insights she may have shared.
