Maxwell's former cellmate says Epstein's associate 'is not suicidal at all'

A former cellmate of Ghislaine Maxwell has cast doubt on the suicide of her associate, Jeffrey Epstein, in a Manhattan prison, asserting it was “at least not a suicide.”

Jessica Watkins, who claimed she knows Maxwell from their time in prison, tweeted, “Just put this there. She’s not committed suicide at least.”

Watkins went on to point out that the Florida prison, FCI Tallahassee, where Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence, has limited working cameras.

She hinted at a potential narrative suggesting that Maxwell might meet a similar fate to Epstein.

Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for aiding the late financier Epstein in a sex trafficking operation involving underage girls.

She has expressed willingness to testify before Congress regarding Epstein’s client list, receiving her 20-year sentence in June 2022.

Watkins mentioned that shortly after the Justice Department indicted Maxwell, she mistakenly believed she was shielded by a plea deal involving Epstein from 2007.

Maxwell’s legal team has requested the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn her conviction, arguing that the prosecution should have been barred by the earlier agreement with Epstein.

During her trial, she was characterized as a “sophisticated predator,” identified as Epstein’s close associate between 1994 and 2004, involved in the abuse of young girls.

Epstein was discovered in his prison cell in 2019 with a rope around his neck, amidst federal charges against him. Some, including his brother, have raised the notion of foul play.

The discourse surrounding Epstein surged recently after Pam Bondi suggested on Fox News that significant documents regarding the case were “sitting on my desk.”

However, the Attorney General announced last week that those records would not be released.

Former President Trump expressed support for Bondi, urging a decisive stance on the Epstein case, stating, “Are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That’s incredible.”

In a follow-up, he encouraged others to let Bondi conduct her inquiry, commending her abilities.
