Maxx Crosby criticizes Chargers fans with recent remarks

Maxx Crosby, the edge rusher for the Las Vegas Raiders, is known for his directness, especially when it comes to the Los Angeles Chargers and their supporters.

In a recent livestream on Kick with N3on, Crosby discussed his significant wealth and shared his competitive insights regarding the Chargers, a team he sees as a rival in the NFL.

Crosby made some bold claims during the livestream, stating, “The Chargers and those teams are crap…I don’t like any of them…” His comments sparked attention, especially as he described the Chargers’ fan base as the most toxic in the league.

“Going up against Herbert and Mahomes is intense,” he noted. “There’s a lot of trash talk. With Herbert, he was in my ear, so I pushed him, and their fans went wild. They’re relentless—very animated, I guess you’d say.” It seems those interactions really leave an impression.

When pressed on the notion of toxicity among fan bases, Crosby explained his stance on the Chargers’ followers. “I think the Chargers are that way because they have a smaller fan base. They started in San Diego and aren’t fully rooted in Los Angeles. Their supporters probably feel the need to represent louder since they’re outnumbered. This leads to them being, uh, more aggressive,” he said.

However, he added a respectful note. “If they annoy me, that’s a sign they’re passionate—and they don’t back down.” It’s this kind of fire that he seems to appreciate, even if it gets under his skin.

The Chargers made the controversial move from San Diego to Los Angeles in 2017, which didn’t sit well with many fans. Despite that, the rivalry with the Raiders remains fierce, no matter where the teams play.

The two teams are set to clash in Week 2 on September 20th, and the tension between these AFC West rivals is sure to be palpable.
