Maxx Crosby Chooses Raiders Over Rams

Maxx Crosby has decided to stick with the Raiders instead of heading to the Rams.

The standout pass rusher for the Raiders declined a chance to join the Rams after a potential trade with the Ravens fell apart, as reported by ESPN.

Instead, the Rams shifted their focus to acquiring Myles Garrett from the Browns, who is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.

This latest situation adds another layer to an offseason already filled with speculation surrounding Crosby. He was almost traded to the Ravens, but that deal collapsed back in March due to health concerns the Ravens had.

After the negotiation with the Ravens fell through, it seems the Rams were keen to pursue Crosby as a strong option among teams interested in him.

One source mentioned to ESPN that teams were hoping for a deal that would be “pennies on the dollar,” and the Eagles, 49ers, and Cowboys also showed interest.

However, Crosby, aged 29, made it clear that he wasn’t looking to leave, even with the Rams being a Super Bowl contender.

While the exact details around this decision remain a bit unclear, he did express his enthusiasm about returning to the Raiders following the fallout from the Ravens trade.

Crosby shared on social media, “Everything Happens For A Reason. Believe Nothing You Hear & Half Of What You See. I’m A Raider. I’m Back. Run That S–t.”

The Rams eventually acquired Garrett three months later, strengthening their defensive line even further with the return of Aaron Donald from retirement.

In his first game for the Rams, Garrett had a rough start, facing off against the 49ers and not managing to record a single hit or sack.

As for Crosby, he and the revamped Raiders are set to kick off their season at home against the Dolphins, where they are slight favorites for Klint Kubiak’s coaching debut.
