Maxx Crosby's latest song fuels trade rumors about the 49ers

Maxx Crosby’s New Song Sparks Trade Speculation Among Niners Fans

This week, Maxx Crosby shared a snippet of his latest song, leading to some hopeful reactions from San Francisco 49ers fans. They believe certain lyrics might hint at positive developments for the team’s defense.

The new music will be showcased during Raiders Pass. In his Instagram Stories, Crosby mentioned buying a house in Las Vegas, followed by remarks about Northern California, which stirred up trade talks among 49ers supporters.

In the lyrics, Crosby raps, “What can I say? The boy gets paid and gets a brand new crib in the bay. We landed in the bay like Steph and Clay.”

Crosby has pursued music since high school, referring to it as “my hobby” in a past interview. Given his history as a Raider, lyrics referencing the Bay Area and basketball legends don’t usually raise eyebrows. But, something feels different this time.

Since the end of the NFL season, Crosby’s name has been in the mix for trade rumors. This started when the Raiders ended his season early due to a knee injury that sidelined him.

During Super Bowl week, NFL insider Jay Glazer noted that Crosby expressed feeling like his stint with the Raiders was coming to an end.

After the song release, Niners fans speculated that Crosby might be signaling a trade opportunity to Kyle Shanahan.

Yet, it seems that Niners fans aren’t the only ones trying to decipher Crosby’s lyrics. Bears fans have also been analyzing what he said and wondering about potential implications for their own team’s roster.

Whichever team eventually pursues Crosby will likely face a steep cost. Reportedly, the Raiders are looking for “at least two first-round picks and a premium player” in any trade deal involving him.
