Maxx Crosby Dismisses Trade Speculations with New Rap Release
Maxx Crosby seems to have quashed any rumors about wanting to leave the Las Vegas Raiders.
He just dropped a new rap track titled “Raider Way” on Thursday night.
The accompanying music video, which lasts 2 minutes and 48 seconds, showcases Crosby’s highlights on the field, along with moments featuring team owner Mark Davis. This clearly signals Crosby’s intent to stay with the team.
The catchy chorus emphasizes, “That’s the Raider way,” and it features lines like, “Black shirt, silver hat, feelin’ bo. Shout out Oakland, shout out Vegas, yeah, we run LA.”
Crosby’s name has circulated in trade talks since a failed deal that would have sent him to the Baltimore Ravens back in March. Despite this, he has consistently stated that his focus is on mending his relationship with the Raiders.
By releasing “Raider Way,” it’s pretty clear that Crosby is committed to the Raiders ahead of their training camp starting on July 23rd.
This isn’t the first time Crosby has used music to convey messages during the offseason; earlier this year, he teased a song referencing the Bay Area, which led to speculation around a possible trade to the San Francisco 49ers.
In a media interview following a Raiders practice, he shared how music has always played a pivotal role in his life, helping him and his friends stay out of trouble.
Alongside these musical endeavors, Crosby has been working on recovering from a torn meniscus he suffered at the end of last season. He mentioned feeling ahead of schedule and the healthiest he’s been in two years.
