Maya Rudolph will reportedly return to her role as Kamala Harris on “Saturday Night Live” as the vice president’s campaign for the White House gets into full swing.
A former “SNL” cast member who famously portrayed then-California senator Harris on NBC’s long-running late-night sketch comedy show during the 2020 presidential election will reprise her Harris impersonation, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.
Representatives for NBC and Rudolph did not respond to ITK’s requests for comment.
Earlier this month, President Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential race and endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee in November.
In 2022,Rudolph said:The two came face to face with the real-life politician at a private dinner with Harris and her vice-presidential husband, Doug Emhoff.
According to Rudolph, Emhoff was “very excited to have two Kamalas at the gathering.”
“I do it for fun. I do it because I love the person,” the 52-year-old comedian told Jimmy Fallon about parodying Harris and other celebrities.
