The newspaper has contacted City Hall for comment.
The Big Apple is being flooded with asylum seekers who are being sent across the U.S.-Mexico border to Democratic-run cities across the country.
In January, the Adams administration filed a $700 million lawsuit against 17 bus companies, accusing them of transporting more than 33,000 migrants halfway across the country since spring 2022 and dumping them in New York City.
According to the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit, the bus company acted in “bad faith” to support Gov. Abbott’s plan to transport migrants from U.S.-Mexico border areas such as New York, Chicago, and Denver. , reportedly raked in millions of dollars.
At least one bus company has agreed to stop transporting migrants to New York.
The city also wants businesses to pay for future emergency shelters and services and cover any future bills that may arise from Mr. Abbott’s plan.
