Ingrid Lewis Martin, the chief adviser to embattled New York City Mayor Eric Adams, had her home searched and was issued a federal subpoena on Friday.
Mr. Lewis' attorney, Arthur Aidala, confirmed to Fox News Digital that Mr. Adams' senior adviser was served with a subpoena by the Southern District of New York.
Along with the summons, Lewis' cell phone was also seized by the New York County District Attorney's Office.
“She intends to fully cooperate with any investigation, and as far as we are aware, Ms. Ruiz is not the target of any incident,” Aidala said.
Lewis Martin was reportedly met at the airport by law enforcement authorities after he was issued a summons after disembarking from a flight from Japan on Friday, according to the Associated Press.

The federal subpoena and search of her home came a day after an indictment against Adams was unsealed unsealing fraud, bribery and corruption charges.

Adams denied the allegations in a video statement, calling the charges against him “completely false and based on lies” and implying they were a criticism of the Biden administration. disastrous border policy made him a target for revenge.

“The federal government did nothing because broken immigration policies left the shelter system overburdened with no relief,” he said. “I put the people of New York over political parties and politics.”
