Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told House of Representatives Dan Bishop during a hearing regarding alleged fliers from the Heritage Foundation’s Surveillance Project that claim to urge immigrants to vote for President Joe Biden in November. It was heavily criticized by Congressman (Republican, North Carolina).
On Tuesday, officials with the monitoring project posted what they said was a flyer from the Resource Center Matamoros, saying it was discovered by an independent Mexican journalist working with a website known as Muckraker.
The flyer urges immigrants to “…vote for President Biden when you are in the United States.” He needs four more years to remain open. ” This flyer has not been verified by Breitbart His News and is not posted on his website in the Resource Center His Matamoros.
These flyers were discovered by @realmuckraker The entire Resource Center Matamoras (RCM) location, including the toilet walls.

Bishop raised the issue with Mayorkas during Tuesday’s budget hearing, questioning DHS’ role in ensuring that immigrants do not vote in local, state or federal elections after being released into the interior. .
“The Heritage Foundation Monitoring Project has published this document, which is said to be a flyer allegedly distributed by a Mexican non-governmental organization called Resource Center Matamoros. Translated in part, the document reads, “Vote for President Biden.” “Reminder to do” You are in the United States. Mr Bishop said at the hearing:
I understand that RCM denied this was genuine. There are competing reports about it. I would like to ask you this, What steps is the Department of Homeland Security taking to ensure that? Especially given the millions of illegal entries, including 2 million fugitives. Are noncitizens illegally prevented from registering or voting? [Emphasis added]
Mayorkas responded by saying that “individuals who are not U.S. citizens cannot vote in federal elections,” and suggested that DHS “does not oversee the voter registration process.” What we do is protect our borders. ”
