As the South and East reel from the devastating effects of Hurricane Helen, many are blaming the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for absenteeism as millions struggle to recover from the devastation.
Meanwhile, Mayorkas says funding for devastated Americans is gone, but he and the Department of Homeland Security are still spending billions of dollars on housing for illegal aliens across the country.
For example, hundreds of thousands of Haitians moved to Louisiana after the Biden-Harris administration eased federal immigration restrictions, allowing millions of immigrants who would otherwise be considered “illegal” to freely enter the country. “We are meeting immediate needs with the funds we have,” Mayorkas said this week. “We're expecting another hurricane. We don't have the money. FEMA doesn't have the discoveries to get us through the season.”
