Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is “interfering and delaying communication” about the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) told Breitbart News in an interview at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday.
Greene spoke about former President Donald Trump’s “miraculous” survival on Saturday, saying it came at just the right time as he looked at a graph showing border incursion statistics.
“A lot of little things add up, but as you say, the fact that he turned his head just in time and his life was saved, the bullet that grazed his ear, that’s a miracle that we all witnessed. But let’s move on to the fact that what he turned his head and was looking at is exactly the issue at stake, one of the things that is absolutely destroying our country, and that’s the statistics of border incursions,” she said.
“At that point, he had a graph up on the screen and he was talking to everyone at the rally about the border invasion, the illegal border invasion by the Biden administration,” Greene explained. The graph showed a surge in illegal immigration.
“The person in charge of these policies in the Biden Administration, Secretary Mayorkas (who was impeached by the House), is also responsible for oversight of what agency, may I add? The United States Secret Service,” Washington field chief Matthew Boyle noted, noting that the Secret Service “in fact canceled a briefing that was scheduled to be given to you all at the Oversight Committee yesterday.”
“The Department of Homeland Security, under the direction of Mr. Mayorkas, has stepped in and controlled the flow of information. They are already trying to cover up what happened here,” he noted.
“Yes, Under Secretary Mayorkas at the Department of Homeland Security has stepped in and is slowing down the process of information getting to the committee that I serve on,” Greene said. “He’s stopping information from coming to the oversight bureau, he’s stopping information from coming to the Department of Homeland Security, because we’re all fighting for as much information as we can.”

Greene then explained the current situation, saying these agencies are “suppressing information and creating a narrative that they want the public to know.”
“I think the Biden administration and the intelligence community are going to start creating the narrative they want and then push that information and try to control it as usual, and now I say we are not the same Republican Party we were before,” the congressman warned, adding that they are not going to buy that narrative and sell it to the American people.
“We’re going to take them on in every way possible, and if we win in November and take back the White House, we’re going to gut these institutions and fire every single one of the deep state people who’ve been lying to America for decades,” she said. “This has to end, and this is how we’re going to end it.”
