McDonald’s Revives Snack Wraps Amid Demand
On Tuesday, McDonald’s declared its decision to bring back snack wraps to its U.S. locations, a move spurred by consumer interest and declining sales.
“I’m back,” remarked Joe Arlinger, the President of McDonald’s U.S. during a recent announcement aimed at addressing fans’ requests for the return of this beloved item.
“Fans haven’t let go of snack wraps; they’ve played a big role in making this happen,” he added, highlighting the enthusiasm surrounding this comeback.
The phrase “Snack Wrap 07.10.2025” adorned McDonald’s profile on X, a nod to a fan’s 2023 post expressing nostalgia: “What I want right now is that McDonald’s snack wrap—life just wasn’t the same.”
According to reports, the snack wraps returned to menus starting July 10. The wraps feature McDonald’s MacCrispy Strips in two flavors: Spicy and Ranch, as noted by CNBC.
Interestingly, this revival comes at a time when chicken offerings from competitors like Popeyes and Chick-fil-A have captured consumer attention. The competition is intensifying, with Popeyes introducing its own range of chicken wraps.
Popeyes stated that its chicken wraps come in three flavorful options and are priced at $3.99 each, which seems quite accessible.
Meanwhile, McDonald’s has been facing challenges; their same-store sales dropped by 3.6% in the first quarter of 2025, influenced by adverse weather conditions and cautious consumer behavior, exceeding predictions of a 1.7% decline.
This recent downturn marks the most significant drop for McDonald’s since the pandemic era when sales fell by 8.7% during the second quarter of 2020.
