“Mean Girls'' fans doubled their ratings for this weekend's “Saturday Night Live.''
Rachel McAdams, who starred as Regina George in the 2004 cult film, made a surprise appearance on 30 Rock over the weekend to introduce musical guest Renee Rapp.
The “Snow Angels” singer made her screen debut in the 2024 musical version of “Mean Girls,” playing the leader of the Plastics, McAdams' original lead role.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it's Renee Rapp once again,” McAdams said on “SNL,” as the studio audience erupted into rapturous cheers for her shocking cameo.
The “Notebook” actress, 45, wore a red pantsuit with a purple turtleneck and styled her highlighted hair in loose waves.
The 24-year-old rap then took to the stage with another surprise guest, Megan Thee Stallion, to perform her hit song “Not My Fault.”
Elsewhere on the show, McAdams returned for a sketch portraying “Natalie Partman,” an actor who struggles to find work because she looks too much like McAdams.
She also posed for a snap with the rap and “WAP” rapper, 28, as the three pointed fingers at each other. It mimics the infamous “Spider-Man” meme.
Megan Thee Stallion captioned a photo she posted to Instagram on Saturday night: “Because 🥹 All Regina in the same room 🤭💖 #snl.”
McAdams' appearance was especially exciting for fans because she had not attended recent “Mean Girls” events.
Lindsay Lohan attended the New York City premiere of the musical remake and made a cameo in the film, while also appearing in a Walmart commercial along with other stars of the original film.
The “About Time” actress was conspicuously absent from last fall's Black Friday ad, which also starred plastics industry pals Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert.
“Rachel McAdams didn't want to do it,” a source told Page Six at the time.

She later spoke about her decision to turn down commercials.
“I don't know; I don't think I was that excited about doing the commercial, to be honest.” she told Variety magazine.
“I've never been in a commercial,” she continued. “And it didn't feel like my bag.”
McAdams went on to explain that she had no idea her former “Mean Girls” co-stars would be appearing in the commercial.
“Of course, I would always love to be a part of a 'Mean Girls' reunion and be with the Plastics, but yeah, I found out later,” she said.
