Nearly 600 Americans traveled to France this summer. 2024 Paris Olympics I have one goal in mind: to bring home the gold.
592 athletes from the United States participated in 34 different sports, and the United States led the way with a total of 126 medals. China was the next closest with 91 medals. The United States also tied for first with 40 gold medals.

The Americans had their greatest success in track and field, winning a total of 34 medals, including 14 gold, 11 silver, and 9 bronze. American track and field star Noah Lyles takes first place in the men's 100m final to win his first Olympic gold medal, while Vernon Norwood, Shamir Little, Bryce Dedmon and Kaylin compete in the mixed 4x400m relay.・Brown set a world record.

In swimming, the United States won eight gold medals, one more than Australia, making it the nation with the most gold medals. Katie Ledecky continued her dominance in the pool, becoming the sixth Olympian to win nine gold medals. The U.S. team won a total of 28 medals in swimming, including 13 silver and seven bronze.

Simone Biles returned to the Olympics with revenge after a heartbreaking run in Tokyo. She made history in Paris, winning three gold medals and cementing her place as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time. American Steven Nedrosik also wowed domestic fans, winning bronze in the men's pommel horse. The United States won nine medals, including three gold medals, one silver medal, and five bronze medals for Biles.

Vincent Hancock continued to make Olympic history by winning his fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal in men's skeet, becoming the only skeet shooter to win multiple gold medals in this event. Team USA won five medals, including three silver and one bronze.

The U.S. women's foil team defeated Italy, winning Team USA's first gold medal in this event and making history in Paris. They won a total of four medals: four gold, one silver, and one bronze.

Men's Basketball Team USA defeated the host nation 98-87 in the men's final, winning its fifth consecutive gold medal and 17th gold medal overall. The women's team also defeated France by just one point, winning the gold medal for the eighth consecutive year.

The U.S. women's national soccer team, which hasn't won a gold medal since the 2012 London Olympics, had something to prove in Paris. However, in the 57th minute of the final against Brazil, Mallory Swanson scored a goal in her 100th appearance for the national team, leading Team USA to its fifth gold medal of the tournament.
