No one won the estimated $498 million jackpot Tuesday night, but one player in Arizona won $1 million by hitting all five white balls, and another player in Delaware hit all five white balls and also used the optional megaplier to win $4 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Friday, with players hoping to win an estimated $527 million grand prize with a cash option of $261.9 million, which would make it the 13th-largest prize ever.
Winners typically choose the cash prize option over the Mega Millions annuity, which is distributed in one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments.
According to the game, your odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 302,575,350.
The last Mega Millions jackpot was won on June 4, when a player from Illinois matched all six numbers to win $560 million, the ninth-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

“Only two Mega Millions jackpots have been won so far this year, in stark contrast to 2023,” Mega Millions said in a press release. “By this time last year, the jackpot had already been won eight times! So far in 2024, only two tickets have matched all six numbers: a June 4 win in Illinois and a March 26 win in New Jersey that produced a whopping $1.128 billion prize.”
A record-breaking $1.602 billion jackpot has been won in Florida on Aug. 8, 2023.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Buying tickets Drawing nights on Tuesdays and Fridays are at 9:45 p.m.
