Friday's winning numbers were 2, 20, 51, 56, 67 plus Mega Ball 19. With no winners, the grand prize ballooned to $944 million. The last jackpot was won on September 10th.
The jackpot winners of Tuesday's Christmas Eve drawing can receive their winnings in annual annuity payments or a lump sum of an estimated $429.4 million. According to the lottery.
So far this year's biggest winner has been a Florida-based Mega Millions ticket holder who has won $1.6 billion in prize money. Locally, a New Jersey player won a $1.13 billion jackpot on March 26th.
