USA Will Be in Favorable Group for 2026 World Cup
Jonathan Hutton, who hosts the podcast “Outkick Hot Mike,” is set to join “Fox News Live” to chat about the U.S. men’s national soccer team’s rank for the 2026 World Cup and share predictions for the upcoming College Football Playoff, among other topics.
In a recent podcast, former U.S. women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe humorously critiqued the men’s team’s campaign for the World Cup.
The team has launched a campaign named “Never Chase Reality” ahead of the tournament, featuring a short film narrated by Marcello Hernandez. The team described this slogan as capturing their journey until the age of 26.
Rapinoe addressed the team’s campaign during an episode of “A Touch More,” which she co-hosts with Sue Bird and Katie Nolan. She expressed some skepticism: “This new slogan, ‘Never Chase Reality,’ makes it seem like the team is already doubting themselves. Why not stick with something like ‘dream big’?”
Hernandez shared his perspective, mentioning, “This campaign is more than just about soccer; it’s about the American dream. Not chasing reality reflects the idea of dreaming even when the odds are against you.” He expressed his honor in representing his passion for soccer, given his long history with the sport.
However, it’s worth noting that the U.S. men’s team, while often labeled a “golden generation,” hasn’t had substantial success in international competition. They made it to the finals in 2022 but lost to the Netherlands, having also reached the quarterfinals back in 2002.
Looking ahead, the U.S. men’s team will face off against Paraguay and Australia in June, as they vie for advancement to the World Cup final tournament.
