Klay Thompson is facing serious allegations of infidelity, and it seems there’s little the coaches can do to defend him this time.
Now with the Mavericks, Thompson, who is a four-time NBA champion during his time with the Warriors, found himself at the center of controversy after musician Megan Thee Stallion, who he had been seeing since last summer, accused him of cheating on Saturday.
“Cheating, you made me play house with the whole family… ‘I got cold feet’… I don’t even know if I can be ‘monogamous’ anymore???” she shared on her Instagram Story, revealing how much the allegations hurt her. “I need a real break after this,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Thompson has come under scrutiny for alleged affairs. However, it’s the tone of Megan’s accusations that feels particularly decisive—she sounded fed up. She also mentioned Thompson’s “horrible mood swings” during the NBA games, which added another layer to the conflict.
Megan has previously shared joyful moments with Thompson and his family; for instance, his father, Mychal Thompson, praised her cooking during a Thanksgiving get-together. Plus, she frequently supported him by appearing courtside at games.
Thompson was last seen with his mother at Megan’s Broadway show, Moulin Rouge, on April 14th.
In a statement on Page Six, Megan confirmed her decision to end the relationship with Thompson, saying, “Trust, loyalty, and respect are non-negotiables in a relationship for me, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.”
“I am using this time to prioritize myself and move forward with peace and clarity,” she added.
Thompson has a lengthy dating history, having been in relationships with Laura Harrier and singer Coco Jones, who is now engaged to Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell.
As of now, Thompson has not publicly addressed Megan’s allegations.
