Markle and Harry Hint at Future for Archie and Lilibet

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have dropped hints regarding the future of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In their impact report released last month, they made notable references to their son, age 6, and daughter, age 4. “After five incredible years, the Archewell Foundation will become Archewell Charities,” they stated in a December 2025 announcement. This new direction seems to suggest that the whole family is preparing to expand their philanthropic efforts together.

Interestingly, a friend of Prince Harry mentioned that involving the children raises some eyebrows, hinting that they may follow in their parents’ career paths. “Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have consistently emphasized that they want their kids to grow up without the burden of expectations or titles, so it’s puzzling to see this shift,” the source observed.

Another source suggested that this strategic move could indeed be influenced by Meghan.

Representatives for Markle and Harry did not respond to requests for comments.

On the day their statement was issued, Markle shared a family photo on Instagram with the caption, “Happy Holidays! From our family to yours.” This picture provided a rare look at Archie and Lilibet, who also appeared in a video summary from 2025.

Markle, who is 44, reactivated her Instagram account on January 1 last year, and her children seem to be featuring more prominently in her posts lately.

While Prince Harry, 41, has shown some reservations about his wife’s social media activities, it’s clear that Archie and Lilibet are slowly making their presence known. Although they didn’t appear on Markle’s show, “With Love, Meghan,” they were frequently mentioned.

Since leaving Britain around their children’s births, and officially stepping back from royal roles in 2021, the couple has settled in Montecito, California. They’ve since started a variety of projects, partnering with platforms like Netflix and Spotify, but the outcomes have varied.

Recently, there have been challenges; reports indicate they’ve reduced their staff significantly, and their philanthropic branch is facing uncertainty.
