Meghan Markle faces another wave of claims of plagiarism.

In a new interview with Daily MailBritish author Mel Elliott, who wrote a children’s book series entitled “Pearl Power,” claimed that Markle’s discarded Netflix series “Pearl” had “similarities” to the book “too big to ignore.”

“Meghan is a feminist who clings to other women, so seeing how similar Netflix’s proposed show “Pearl” was to my own “Pearl Power” was disappointing and confused. Elliott spoke about the animated series originally released in 2021, but was cancelled less than a year later. Of course, I don’t know if anyone on her team saw it and was inspired by it, but the similarities were too big for me to ignore.”

The author, who had plans to turn her book into an animated series, claimed that her lawyer had reached out to Markle and Netflix, but never received a response.

“The similarities between the proposed animation series and my client’s work seem to be more than just a coincidence, and there are more strikes,” Elliott’s lawyers allegedly wrote in 2021 for Markle and Netflix.

As Elliott told the Daily Mail, “The arts and media world is very competitive and I think it’s very common for powerful people to tear the work of lesser known creatives apart.

“What made me saddest was that the similarities between my “pearl” and Meghan’s “pearl” caught the attention of Netflix and Archewell. My objection was never accepted.

Markle and Netflix representatives have not yet responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The Markle series, which also includes Elton John’s husband David Furnish as an executive producer, told the story of a little girl who “learns to step into her powers.”

Elliott’s series focuses on equality and women’s empowerment.

“Pearl” was cancelled in May 2022.

“We are delighted that Meghan’s ‘Pearl’ show has been dropped. I hope it has something to do with that,” Elliott said. “But what I really wanted was that it went ahead and that I was recognized and invited to work as a collaborator in the series.”

“‘Pearl’ was my dream project, but now it’s annoying that if I recreate my creation, I’ll look like I’ve copied an idea from someone else,” she added.

“Please tell me you don’t have one original idea without saying that there is no original idea,” another user wrote in a screenshot of the “COEO Confession” podcast page.
