Meghan Markle Celebrates Daughter Lilibet’s Fourth Birthday
Meghan Markle shared two sweet photos to mark her daughter Lilibet’s fourth birthday, offering a rare look into the life of the young royal.
The pictures, taken by the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex, were posted on Instagram earlier on Wednesday. They feature black-and-white shots of Lilibet, commemorating her special day.
“Happy birthday to our beautiful girl,” Markle wrote in her heartfelt message. “Four years ago today, she came into our lives, and every day is brighter and better because of her.”
Markle expressed gratitude toward those who sent love and celebrated Lilibet’s birthday.
The lovely post included two images, showing Lilibet and Markle. They were captured on a boat a few days after Lilibet’s birth.
Prince Harry and Markle welcomed Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor on June 4, 2021. It’s been over a year since the couple stepped away from royal duties to settle in Montecito, California.
Lilibet was named after the late Queen Elizabeth’s family nickname, while her middle name, Diana, honors her grandmother, Princess Diana.
Lilibet and her brother, Archie, who is now six, were granted the titles of Prince and Princess after their grandfather, King Charles, made the announcement in May 2023.
Lilibet met the Queen before her passing but, reportedly, didn’t have a photo taken to capture that moment.
She was born at 11:40 am and weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces, making her seventh in line to the throne.
Details of Lilibet’s birthday celebration remain private, but it is expected the family will have an intimate gathering at their $14 million home, similar to Archie’s sixth birthday celebration last month.
This birthday sentiment from Markle comes shortly after she discussed her aspirations for Lilibet’s future in a bonus episode of the podcast “Confessions of a Female Founder.”
In conversation with Tina Knowles, mother of Beyoncé, Markle hinted at possibly “creating something” with Lilibet down the line.
What that collaboration might entail isn’t clear, but Markle’s recent lifestyle brand launch in March may be a starting point.
