Meghan Markle suggests an unexpected business opportunity with recent trademark application

Expanding Horizons

Meghan Markle is stepping into new territory.

With the recent creation of the “Hospitality Services” trademark, the Duchess of Sussex is planning to incorporate hotels and restaurants into her expanding lifestyle brand.

Documents reveal that she’s looking to include “hospitality services related to food and drink” as well as “temporary accommodation offerings.” It seems her ambition knows no bounds.

The news initially came from another source.

Page 6 reached out to her representative, but there’s been no immediate response.

The former “Suits” actress, now 43, had previously launched her brand in February, although she faced some trademark hurdles with a prior name, American Riviera Orchard.

In April, Markle and another mom finally unveiled her first products under the new lifestyle brand, which included items like wildflower honey for $28, flower sprinkles priced at $15, a $14 crepe mix, and $12 tea. Interestingly, they quickly sold out within an hour. Some shoppers were disappointed to find out their orders were canceled due to stock issues, but Markle’s team offered refunds and even sent personal notes to those affected, promising a gift of the next limited edition item.

Aside from her brand developments, Markle is also involved in producing her show titled “Love, Meghan” and hosts a weekly podcast called “Confessions of a Female Founder.” It’s certainly a busy time for her.

Meanwhile, there are reports of a potential legal issue brewing, as Spanish politician Xisca Mora is contemplating suing Markle over allegations of plagiarizing an emblem from the country’s arms. It’s a bit of a tangled web. Whether any of this will come to fruition remains to be seen, but it adds another layer to Markle’s ongoing story in the public eye.
