Meghan McCain announces she is expecting her third child.

Meghan McCain is expecting her third child, a boy, and she’s open about her feelings of nerves.

The former co-host of “The View,” now 40, shared this news in a recent episode of her podcast, “Citizen McCain,” during a conversation with Second Lady Ushavance.

The revelation occurred while they were discussing motherhood within the context of public life. McCain expressed her admiration for Ushavance’s approach to incorporating her child into various settings. “I hope you don’t mind me sharing,” she said, hinting that she had not spoken publicly about her pregnancy before.

McCain emphasized that she enjoys how public life allows parents to travel with their kids and include them in events. “I love it,” she said.

The daughter of the late Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) has two daughters, named Liberty and Clover, who are four and two years old, respectively. She mentioned she’s currently in her second trimester, saying, “I know this might seem like an odd way to announce it, but it’s a boy. I’m really nervous about having a son. I’m just nervous about having three kids, to be honest.”

She thanked Ushavance for giving her the platform to share her news.

During their conversation, McCain brought up some alarming statistics she had come across, which suggested challenges that can come with raising three children. She sought advice from Ushavance, who is also a mother of three and a boy. “I really love my three kids,” Ushavance replied, “and I wholeheartedly support large families.”

Ushavance shared insights about her own experiences with her energetic sons, acknowledging some of the differences in growth and development timelines between boys and girls.

McCain has been married to Ben Domenek since 2017. Their relationship began through shared interests in conservative politics and media, although initially, Domenek was hesitant about dating her. However, they eventually connected during a challenging time in McCain’s life, as her father was battling cancer.

They tied the knot on November 21, 2017, at a ceremony held at McCain Family Lodge in Sedona, Arizona.
