Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), went after Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake on Tuesday, accusing Lake of trying to make past insults about her father a joke. He vehemently criticized his attempts to deny it.
“Kari Lake is trying to end her continued attacks on my father (and my family) and all of his loyal supporters,” McCain said. “Get the hell out of here.” Tuesday’s X Postthe platform formerly known as Twitter.
“I think she realized she couldn’t be in the Senate without us,” McCain continued. “There’s no peace, bitch. We see you as you are, and we’re repulsed by it.”
Lake, a vocal supporter of former President Trump and a regular critic of John McCain, asked this at a campaign event while running for governor of the Grand Canyon state in 2022. “There are no McCain Republicans here. Will you? Get out!
At the time, the Republican Party “was McCain’s party,” she added. That was bad. Arizona has some losers, right? ”

In the interview, Lake was also asked about his claims that the 2022 gubernatorial election was stolen.

Lake is running for the seat currently held by independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who has not yet announced whether she will seek re-election. Democratic Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego is also vying for the seat.
