Melania Trump addresses ‘efforts to silence’ Donald in new book promo

In a new video promoting her upcoming book, first lady Melania Trump slammed the Biden administration over the rising cost of living and cited apparent attempts to “silence” her husband, former President Donald Trump.

Former First Lady posted a short clip Without directly naming Democratic President Biden, she was quick to criticize the state of the country under Biden on Sunday, arguing that tensions have risen around the world since her husband was ousted from office.

“The results of the 2020 election have changed our lives forever,” she narrated as the words appeared on the screen, “impacting our quality of life, the prices of food and gas, our safety, and even the geopolitical situation.”

Melania Trump, 54, then warned about concerns about free speech in the US, claiming the country was “more divided than ever”.

“It is becoming increasingly clear that there is a serious challenge to free speech, as evidenced by the efforts to silence my husband,” she said in a rare public statement.

Judge Juan Marchand initially issued the order out of concern that Republican candidate Trump has a habit of attacking people involved in cases, but extended parts of the order pending Trump's sentencing.

Trump, 78, was fined $10,000 for violations during his trial and was threatened with prison time if he continued on with the case.

President Trump's social media accounts were also suspended shortly after the January 6 riot at the Capitol, but he is once again allowed to tweet and post on Facebook.

Melania Trump last week stepped up promotion for her new memoir, titled “Melania.”

She claimed she was the victim of a “misunderstanding” during her spouse's time in the spotlight and said she wanted to tell readers the “truth.”
