Melania Trump made her solo entrance into the Republican National Convention (RNC) on the final night, becoming the only person to wave and smile in public.
The former first lady, dressed in red and smiling as the crowd applauded, entered the Fiserv Forum and joined former President Trump and his family from the bleachers.
In his convention speech, the former president thanked his wife of 19 years.
“I am honored to have my incredible wife, Melania, with me on this journey,” Trump said, praising the “beautiful letter to America” she wrote after the rally attack.
He suggested his wife’s statement be added as part of the official Republican platform, saying “that would be an honor.”
Trump has kept a low profile while her husband runs for president in 2024 and has not been spotted in Milwaukee since the Republican National Convention began on Monday.
Last week, First Lady Melania Trump issued a statement calling for unity following the assassination attempt on her husband at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
