Melania Trump Responds to Claims of Epstein Connection

The First Lady, Melania Trump, had a significant win recently when James Carville retracted comments regarding her alleged connections with Jeffrey Epstein from the night she first met Donald Trump.

In response, Melania shared a couple of images—screen captures of Carville’s apology transcripts, which included an edited video from his podcast titled “Epstein Connection: Trump & Melania.”

Carville addressed this matter on the latest episode of his Political War Room podcast, discussing the withdrawal of his previous statements.

During the podcast, he remarked:

“Last week, we had Judd Legum on. After the episode aired, I received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer, who took issue with a specific YouTube video and my comments about her. They raised concerns, so we’ve decided to delete that video, modify the comments, and issue an apology.”

The objections appear to have centered on Carville’s portrayal of Melania’s introduction to her future husband. This portrayal was linked to a Daily Beast article which suggested that a modeling agent connected to Epstein played a role in their meeting.

Following the First Lady’s legal team’s objections, the Daily Beast took down the article and issued an editor’s note along with a full apology.

According to a statement attributed to Melania Trump’s legal team, “These efforts are vital in correcting the harmful falsehoods that have surfaced.” It was also noted that the true story of how Melania met Donald Trump can be found in her bestselling book, Melania.

In her book, she recounts that Trump introduced himself at a 1998 fashion event in New York, despite the fact that he was with another woman that evening, who, in Melania’s view, didn’t seem to hold any genuine interest in Trump.

The First Lady’s legal actions make sense given the recent influx of derogatory and unsubstantiated remarks aimed at her and the president, especially concerning their alleged ties to the disgraced Epstein.
