Melanie Hamrick Claims Attack at London Club
Melanie Hamrick, who is engaged to Mick Jagger, has stated that she was “physically attacked” at a social club in London. She shared her experience in a now-deleted Instagram post, expressing the difficulty of discussing the incident.
“I’m truly grateful to my friends who stepped in to help me,” the choreographer wrote. She recounted how two individuals approached her from behind, prompting her to thank those who intervened on her behalf.
Feeling distressed, Hamrick added that she feels “upset, sad, and heartbroken” about how people can treat one another.
Page Six attempted to reach out to both Hamrick and the club for comments but did not receive immediate replies.
Hamrick, 38, and Jagger, who is 82, first met in February 2014 at a Rolling Stones concert that she attended with fellow dancers from the American Ballet Theater. By that summer, their relationship had turned romantic, despite their significant age gap.
In 2016, they welcomed their son, Deveraux Octavian Basile, marking Jagger’s eighth child. Hamrick later confirmed her engagement to the rock icon, stating that they had been engaged for about three years but had no immediate plans to marry. “We might get married one day, or maybe not. We’re really happy as we are,” she commented in an interview.
The alleged attack on Hamrick occurred shortly after the tragic death of Jagger’s granddaughter’s long-term partner, whose body was discovered at sea. Local authorities confirmed that his death was not considered suspicious, and an autopsy is planned.
