Future of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Uncertain

Melissa Golga shared with Page 6 that the fate of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” remains uncertain.

When asked if she had recently participated in filming for the Bravo show, which was put on hold last year during a cast overhaul, Golga explained to hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy at the “I Can’t Check” awards, “The truth is, they understand it. You know you don’t want to hear this – none of us want to hear this. I wish I had a better answer for you, but they’re thinking about it.”

The reality star, who has been on the show for 12 seasons, mentioned, “Like you, I’m waiting for them to make a decision.”

Golga was one of three veterans who participated in test filming with new cast members, as reported by various sources.

Insiders indicated that producers want to see how the new additions interact with the existing cast members.

According to the same insider information, veterans Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler are still considering this as part of a potential new season.

Rumors suggested that Golga was among those who took part in a recent test shoot as the cast was restructured, which led to a pause in production last year.

Danielle Cabral, who has appeared in the last two seasons, recently hinted that the show might be returning sooner than expected. She stated, “I think it will happen much faster than you think.”

“I really hope it gets back to the good old days, with Christmas, Halloween, holidays,” she added.

Golga seems open to renewing her contract, emphasizing the bond of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast, saying, “We are a family. We love each other. We’ve been together for many years. It’s sad that we’re on this long pause.”

However, Golga is not eager fora reconciliation with her co-star and step-sister, Teresa Giudice. She remarked that any possibility of mending their relationship is unlikely at this time, noting, “The truth is, the doors were closed last year.”

When asked about the ongoing tensions, Golga reflected, “Neither of us has been in contact for probably two years, so it’s very strange that this is coming up again.” She seems to appreciate the complexity of their dynamics while navigating her own feelings about the situation.
