Men can play in women’s soccer on a ‘case-by-case basis,’ English association rules

The sports governing body decided that men who believe they are women would be allowed to compete in British women's soccer.

The English Football Association updated its transgender sports policy and noted that after “match observations” was made, men could compete against women to determine whether men would “present risks” to others' safety. It has been reported.

The FA now has “ultimate discretion” over eligibility, ultimately valuing each male player on a “case-by-case basis” basis, as opposed to the universal rules for men playing against women. However, FA still implements requirements based on testosterone levels.

Future male players who wish to be considered female should be below the prescribed levels of hormones for at least 12 months and provide a medical record of hormone therapy. He also needs to have an annual review of his treatment.

“What makes up a woman?”

At the same time, FA officials have the option to remove or deny permission from players to play against women during the observation period.

English-language journalist Lewis Blackpool told Blaze News that the logic of the FA would collapse under simple scrutiny as the local team is Crawley Town FC.

“Under these basic and basic tasks, the whole 'trans questions' begins to solve. What makes up a woman? Is it the presence of estrogen? Is that an emotion? the reporter asked.

The FA reportedly revealed that there are 20 men playing women's soccer at the amateur level in the UK, but no one is in the professional league.

The policy surrounding men who believe they are women was introduced by the FA in 2015, but in 2023 it faced pressure from 48 lawmakers who wanted to protect women's soccer. The government letter was reportedly caused by a series of teams withdrawing from the recreational game after a transgender player injured a woman with a shot.

Blackpool told Blaze News that a recent report from men competing in women's sports, particularly in the UK, has intensified debate over the issue. Blackpool specifically pointed out the recent British women's billiards tournament in which two men competed in the finals.

Blackpool said, “If someone could simply become a woman, being a woman loses all its meaning. And the same thing goes the other way around.”
