The field that began with 64 teams chasing the Omaha dream has now dwindled to 16 teams.
And by the end of this weekend, the top eight teams will head to Nebraska for the Men’s College World Series.
Last weekend’s regional tournament narrowed the field from 64 teams to 16, and the tournament will switch to a best-of-three series of eight games starting Friday. Of those eight games, the Georgia State Championship is arguably the most intriguing.North Carolina State University The matchup begins Saturday in Athens and is the only series between teams that were ranked in the top 16 when regional competition began.
