Men’s College World Series: Kentucky-Florida moved to Wednesday due to severe weather

Florida and Kentucky are set to face off in the Men’s College World Championship, and it will be a win-or-lose game for both teams.

Now they have another night to think about what they need to do.

As the threat of severe weather looms over Omaha, forecasters Thunderstorm and heavy rain — Tuesday night’s consolation match between the two teams Move to Wednesday morning.

This will set up a baseball tripleheader in Omaha on Wednesday, with the winner of the rescheduled game between Kentucky and Florida playing a doubleheader. The new schedule for Wednesday’s Men’s College World Series is below, all times are Eastern time.

  • Game 10 Kentucky vs. Florida | 11:00 AM
  • Game 11 Tennessee vs. North Carolina/Florida State winner | 3 p.m.
  • Game 12 Texas A&M vs. winner of Kentucky/Florida | 7 p.m.

Florida and Kentucky are both 1-1 in Omaha. Florida kept its season alive with a 5-4 win over NC State, but the Wildcats are fresh off a 5-1 loss to Texas A&M in their first game in Omaha.
