Metallica Announces Las Vegas Residency

Iconic metal band Metallica revealed on Wednesday that they will launch their “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas in the fall of 2026.

The residency will feature eight shows starting on October 1 and concluding on October 31, 2026.

The group plans to uphold their “No Repeat Weekend” tradition, meaning no song will be played more than once every Thursday and Saturday during the performances. Fans eager to attend can buy tickets beginning March 6 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

At this residency, Metallica promises to mix “live staples and surprises from their catalog,” enhanced by the venue’s advanced technology. This aims to give fans a fresh experience of the band’s electrifying performances.

The band expressed their enthusiasm about performing at the Sphere, noting that the venue’s high-definition LED displays wrap around the audience, increasing immersion. “Whether you’ve seen us in huge stadiums, intimate clubs, or even from the famous Snake Pit, this setup will offer something new,” they shared.

They emphasized that the Sphere’s Immersive Sound will provide a uniquely engaging Metallica experience for everyone attending.

Lars Ulrich, the band’s co-founder and drummer, shared his initial reaction from witnessing U2 at the Sphere in 2023, saying, “About 12 seconds in, I knew this was something we had to do. It’s largely uncharted territory!”

Ulrich also mentioned that this residency offers a fresh way to connect with fans live. He expressed excitement about the event approaching in six months and the potential to elevate the experience.

Live Nation is producing this series in collaboration with inKind, as reported. Fans have already started expressing their anticipation on social media, many curious about ticket prices.
