This is pretty cool!
The New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays meet on Wednesday, 23rd Anniversary The ceremony was held to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Because the Mets are based in New York City, they used the opportunity to honor emergency responders, with several players wearing uniforms that paid tribute to police officers, firefighters, and other first responders. One of the coolest tributes came from a superstar Francisco Lindorhas created custom gloves honoring the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey State Police, the New York City Department of Health, and the New York City Department of Corrections.
Lindor's gloves feature logos and badges associated with New York City-based emergency services, making them a tribute but also a nice piece of pride.

I wanted to pay tribute to the 9/11 terrorist attacks as a major league player with a water-stained glove, but my way of honoring the first responders and victims of 9/11 was through my daughters' homeschooling.
They are both very young (7 and 4) but very intelligent, so I gave them a special 9/11 history lesson to teach them everything (it was their first introduction), and I was so proud of how they absorbed and digested it, and even more impressed with how “adult-like” they were in their view of some pretty intense material.
I have more than accomplished my mission and am very proud of them.
