JUPITER, Fla. — On the day camp cuts began, Sean Reed Foley became a victim of another kind of roster.
The Mets have completely exempted the correct rescuers, sources confirmed.
MLB.com first reported development.
If Reid-Foley is not charged, he may be removed from the 40-person roster and appointed as a minor.
Nevertheless, he gained more than three years of service time, which allowed him to refuse the allocation and select a free agency.
Reid-Foley was a leading candidate for Mets Bullpen. This is partly because of 2024 strong, pitching to 1.66 ERA at 21²/Inins, partly because there are no minor league options left.
However, injuries were constantly manifested throughout his four seasons with the Mets.
Last year, a right shoulder collision cost him all three months of the season and October.
The 29-year-old pitched once this spring, threw 15 pitches and recorded two outs on Saturday.
