Mets still looking to add another stud reliever

The Mets are looking to add another big arm to the back end of their bullpen, and Tanner Scott could be the perfect fit.

Scott recently met with the Mets, the Post's Mike Puma confirmed. Scott's left-handedness is a bonus.

The reliever market is down, with several players including Carlos Estevez (the Jays and Reds are among the teams interested), Kirby Yates, and Jeff Hoffman (although Hoffman is considering starting options as well). top players are still available. Forty relievers should earn MLB contracts, including Kenley Jansen, Andrew Kittridge, Jose Leclerc and AJ Minter.

The Dodgers and Padres have long been favorites for Japan's superstar pitcher Aki Sasaki, but some prospective executives have expressed concerns about the turmoil at San Diego's top level, including the team's widow of late owner Peter Seidler.
