A video of what appears to be a fight between baseball fans at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night was widely circulated on social media on Wednesday.
The footage in X’s now-deleted post, which purports to be from after the Mets’ 3-2 win in the Bronx on Tuesday night, first shows what appear to be two female fans in Yankees jerseys grappling with each other before a large-scale brawl breaks out in one of the concourses at Yankee Stadium.
The situation escalated when a male fan wearing a pinstriped Yankees jersey tried to push one of the female combatants, and a fan wearing a Mets jersey tried to push him back.
Fans of the opposing teams then started shoving and pushing each other, and after a Yankees fan removed his jersey, a shirtless Bombers supporter landed a right hook on a Mets fan in the face, briefly knocking him to the ground.
Another Yankees fan, wearing a gray Aaron Judge jersey, then approached and shoved the Mets fan again, while the camera again showed the two women on the ground struggling.
The shirtless actress then appeared to celebrate by high-fiving nearby fans and flaunting her muscles in front of the cameras.
Just when the situation seemed to have calmed down, a Mets fan wearing a blue Pete Alonso jersey and another Yankees fan wearing a gray jersey started arguing again before security and fans finally broke them up.
The Yankees did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the incident.
Another angle of the fight showed two female fans being separated before one violently shoving the other.
The second video ends with two stadium staff members appearing to talk to a Mets fan in a blue jersey with the word “supervisor” written on his shirt, but the staff member appears to try to shoo everyone away.
The Mets completed a season sweep of the Yankees on Wednesday night, wrapping up their second straight game in the Bronx with a dominant 12-3 win over the Bronx Bombers.
The Yankees situation continues to be frustrating for fans who have watched the team lose four of their six games since the All-Star break.
