Major League Baseball on Sunday suspended New York Mets pitcher Johan Ramirez and manager Carlos Mendoza following an incident in a game with Milwaukee Brewers star Reese Hoskins.

Ramirez threw behind Hoskins during Saturday’s game, adding another chapter to the feud between the slugger and the Mets.

The pitch, which came after Hoskins hit a home run and single, was caused by Hoskins’ hard slide into Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil on Friday.

Ramirez joined the Mets in the offseason after appearing in 31 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox in 2023. Ramirez is appealing his suspension, the newspaper said. new york post.
