Mexico City Cops Find High-End Brothel, Casino Run by Chinese Mafia

Authorities in Mexico City have raided an upscale brothel and casino allegedly run by the Chinese mafia in the city’s historic downtown area.

The attack occurred last weekend at a building near Mexico City’s main square. Authorities arrested eight men and three women who were in charge of the casino, all of whom are believed to be Chinese.

According to information released by the Mexico City Police Department, several women were allegedly trafficked for sex inside the casino. During the raid, authorities discovered four rooms that were allegedly used for sexual encounters.

Authorities also discovered several illegal game rooms and areas used for drug distribution within the company. The raid followed an investigation into drug sales in the downtown area. Police seized more than 800 doses of various drugs. Authorities have not released the names of the Chinese suspects behind the casino or which criminal organization they belong to. It remains unclear how long the casino was able to operate in one of Mexico City’s busiest areas.

The raids come as government officials claim there has been a significant improvement in security, while crime remains high across Mexico.
