The Cowboys held their breath as they watched one of their biggest stars being carried off the field Thursday night.
Edge rusher Micah Parsons suffered an apparent lower leg injury late in the fourth quarter of the Giants' 20-15 win and was carted to the locker room.
After the game, the Cowboys told reporters he underwent X-rays of his left foot and ankle.
He is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan on Friday.
With 3:30 remaining in the fourth quarter, Parsons was lunging at Giants quarterback Daniel Jones when he became tangled with the New York offense and fell to the ground.
He was cared for by training staff and then moved to the sideline.
Parsons was then placed in a cart with his left cleat removed.
Parsons' injury came just before the Giants suffered an injury nightmare when stud rookie Malik Nabors was sidelined with a concussion.
Before being sent off, Parsons made two tackles in the game.
