Micah Parsons knows what roster moves Cowboys should make this offseason

“I said look at all the teams that were in that final four,” Parson said, referring to the final four teams in the NFL playoffs. “Who did they have? Who did they have in Baltimore? Great linebacking corps, right? Who did San Fran have? Great linebacking corps. KC, [Nick] Bolton, and they came too. We need to get another big linebacker. ”

Parsons also believes the Kansas City Chiefs’ Chris Jones and Mike Pennell are “terrible interior” linemen after seeing what they did during the Super Bowl.

“I think we have a lot of rushers,” Parsons said of his current teammates on the defensive line. “I think it’s Osa. [Odighizuwa], he is one of the most versatile DTs who can play inside or outside.we [got Johnathan] Hank[ins]he’s a big guy, but we need to get one of them [guys]. ”

But Parsons, at least, isn’t always biased toward the defensive side of the ball. He thinks the offense in particular requires him to make one move. That’s keeping running back Tony Pollard.

“I would say towards the end of the season Tony Pollard started to find his rhythm again,” Parsons said. “I think he’s an all-down guy. You have to think, he broke his fibula or his tibia or something, that’s a catastrophic injury. You’re talking about a guy who really got out of there. Thing” [since] He returned in the first week of January, but didn’t do much. It will take time for him to return to football. He didn’t do any OTAs. He didn’t do minicamp. It was like he was kind of camping out a little bit, kind of getting over it and getting back on track. ”

“You watched him grow up, like he even said, ‘I’m just coming back to myself now.’ I would like to give Tony Pollard another chance. ”

Pollard could be placed on the franchise tag again this offseason if Dallas desires.

However, the Cowboys also have contract situations with quarterback Dak Prescott, who will play the final year of his contract in 2024, and star receiver CeeDee Lamb, and could potentially seek new deals soon as well. be.

There’s also Parsons, who could get some cash this offseason if Dallas signs him to an extension after three seasons. His production has proven he is one of the best young edge rushers in the game, but the Cowboys first need to spend their money wisely in 2024.

“If they call my number and say, ‘Hey, I’m ready,’ I’m ready. But if they don’t, I’m going to make the call.” [together] “It’s another Pro Bowl year, and it’s only going to get more expensive,” Parsons said.
