Micah Parsons didn’t like the way former Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones was treated.
According to multiple reports Monday, the Packers told Jones they would release him after reaching an agreement to sign free agent running back Josh Jacobs.
This news was reported by NFL officials. Including ESPN’s Adam Schefterwas noted by the Dallas Cowboys defensive star, who made no secret of his disappointment with the Packers’ decision.
“This is really wild to me! Aaron Jones’ disrespect is crazy!!” Parsons wrote about Xhe said, citing Schefter’s report.
Jones has been viewed as a potential cap casualty by the Packers since the end of the season; Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Report Earlier this month, the Packers revealed they had met with Jones’ agent in an effort to reduce his salary.
Reports on March 1 also suggested that the Packers could release Jones at the beginning of the new league year if they are unable to reach a new contract.

Jones’ base salary was $11.1 million, and the Packers’ cap hit was slated to be $17.6 million.
Jones had 656 rushing yards and two touchdowns in 11 games in 2023.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters after the season about Jones, “He definitely impacts the game, impacts our offense, impacts our team in the late-season push. I gave it,” he said. “I don’t know if we would do it all without him. It’s all part of the process.”
Acquiring Jacobs likely changed the Packers’ mind, having previously said they wanted to bring Jones back.
Jones wasn’t the only major running back move that Parsons felt the need to comment on during the NFL’s free agency period.
