Exciting Win for the Falcons
Olivia Carter was thrilled watching her fiancé, Michael Penix Jr., lead the Falcons to victory on “Monday Night Football.” She shared her excitement on Instagram Stories, posting a photo of herself cheering from their suite at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the Falcons triumphed over the Bills, 24-14.
One of her Stories simply read, “Falcons won,” echoing sentiments from another fan, Giambrone, who celebrated the team’s success in Week 6.
Penix, selected as the No. 8 overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft, completed 20 of 32 passes for 250 yards and threw one touchdown, which helped the team’s record improve to 3-2 this season.
Bijan Robinson, the star running back, impressively rushed for 170 yards, with a stunning 81-yard touchdown run that was a highlight of the game. The Falcons’ defense also shined, limiting the Bills to just 14 points and picking off league MVP Josh Allen twice.
Post-game, Allen acknowledged the Falcons’ strong strategy: “They had a good plan. I think they came off the bye week and worked out our game plan quite a bit. I’ll need to review what they were doing and adjust accordingly.”
Currently sitting in second place in the NFC South, the Falcons are set to face the 49ers on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 7.
Penix, now 25, began the season as the starting quarterback after taking over from Kirk Cousins last December, who was signed in free agency for a significant $180 million. So far this season, Penix has recorded three interceptions and four touchdowns, along with rushing for additional points.
Carter has been a dedicated supporter, often seen cheering for Penix during games. The couple, engaged since last December, shared their journey on social media, with Carter expressing, “The sweetest love,” after announcing their engagement.
