Michael Porter Jr. surprised by ex-girlfriend's 'psychopath' allegations

Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. spoke out about the impact of former Disney Channel star Madison Pettis labeling him a “psychopath.” This came after Porter discussed their past relationship on his TV show earlier this year.

“It was wild. I didn’t see it that way at all. I mean, my brother and I were together for three months, and nothing dramatic happened,” Porter explained during a guest appearance on the “One Night with Steiny” podcast.

He remarked on Pettis’s comments, expressing confusion over why, a decade later, she would call him that. “What’s going on? We were teenagers! I didn’t even lose my virginity until college,” he added.

In response to Pettis’s comments during her podcast appearance, where she mentioned ending their relationship because he was a “psychopath,” Porter called her “what’s-her-name.” They originally connected after seeing a birthday message from Stephen Curry on Instagram.

Pettis later shared that she wouldn’t completely dismiss the idea of becoming a “basketball wife,” saying, “I really respect what they do, even if I think a lot of athletes aren’t the best partners.” She added that they broke up before he joined the NBA.

Although she didn’t name him, the two dated from 2016 until mid-2017, shortly before the Denver Nuggets selected Porter in the 2018 NBA Draft. After winning a championship with Denver in 2023, he was traded to the Nets last June.

Porter was also in the news recently due to his address being leaked, which generated quite a buzz.
