Michael Rapaport slams Canadian lawmaker trying to bar him from entering country

Comedian and outspoken pro-Israeli activist Michael Rapaporte has abandoned the liberal Canadian politician after demanding that her fellow lawmakers give him a domestic stand-up show.

Actors and comedians in Monday's column of “Free Press.” Called Heather McPherson, a member of Canadian Parliament, after urging fellow lawmakers to ban him from the state this week ahead of a show date in Alberta, Canada. He declared he was there and invited her to sit in the front row.

MacPherson, a member of Canada's New Democrat, called on the Canadian government to “become the Canadian government” on February 27, denying entry to Michael Rappaport. The statement consisted of an expanded X-thread that nurtured the comedian's “significant criminal history,” the history of “Islamophobic speech,” and the history of “violence” to protect the nation's history of “violence.”

“We are witnessing an incredible increase in Islamophobia in Canada and around the world,” she writes. “All Canadians deserve to feel safe in our community. New Democrats are calling on the liberal government to deny entry into Michael Rappaport.”

After declaring that “hate doesn't have a place in Canada,” MacPherson tagged several other members of the Canadian Parliament in a post, trying to make them aware of Rappaport's upcoming visits.

In his column, comedians and Jewish advocates call the push by Canadian lawmakers to ban him from the country “the craziest campaign against me,” and claim it is more ridiculous than the various anti-Israel groups protesting Israel's outspoken defense following Israel's Hamas Massakre on October 7th.

The Wisconsin Show in Rapaport was cancelled last May after an anti-Israeli agitator threatened a venue where he was ready to perform.

He responded to each of her accusations against him, saying, “I have no criminal history other than making multiple calls to my ex-girlfriend Lili Taylor in 1997. (I'm not embarrassed, I was not in love. I don't have a stand-out warrant. I dehumanize Jews.”
